A Room with a View

Left a rainy Brexit Britain for a sunny EU Ireland on Saturday morning. Draw your own conclusions. My, hasn’t Ireland changed since I was a child. There is a condom vending machine in the Gents at Dublin Airport.

Six of us with a lot of luggage, little of it mine, crammed into a hire car and headed south for Wexford from where I am writing. I am expecting to see some pretty fancy frocks at the operas tonight and on Sunday. I have stayed a few times at the Talbot Hotel and always enjoy being here. The staff are friendly, there is black pudding for breakfast, masses of pillows and fluffy duvets and this year I have lucked out with a room with a view.

You’d not be in Ireland if there wasn’t a splash of rain and this afternoon it’s come with a rainbow.

There is one technical problem. The Bluetooth connection between my keyboard and iPad has packed up. I’m not enjoying tapping this with one finger so that’s your lot for today. Maybe it will mend itself.
